Tareq
Hoque, Founder and President – Tareq is a visionary
who has founded several successful communications and mesh networking
companies. In addition to his pioneering work in the field of
mobile mesh networking technology, he has extensive experience
in spread-spectrum communications and signal processing architecture,
packet-based network performance analysis and optimization,
data coding and communications wireless technology, and homeland
security and services markets. Prior to founding Concentris
in 2005, Hoque was president of Firetide, Inc., a successful
early innovator in the field of mesh networking protocol and
ad-hoc mesh networking products. Firetide, founded by Hoque
in 2002, raised over $16 million in venture funding and was
named one of the most innovative mobile technology companies
by the San Jose Mercury Bulletin. From 1999 to 2001, Hoque was
president of Adtech Inc., the largest contributor to the Spirent
Communications group of companies. Under Hoque’s leadership,
Adtech became one of the communications industry's leading providers
of innovative network analysis equipment with over $150 million
in annual revenues and more than 300 employees. Before becoming
involved in the high-tech industry, Hoque was an investment
banking executive with Citibank and Credit Suisse First Boston
and a management consultant with Bain & Co. Tareq is a graduate
of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1988) and holds
bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering and
computer science. He also earned an MBA (1992) in Management
Science from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. While at
MIT, Hoque did ground breaking research in the areas of data
coding and communications at the MIT Media Laboratory and the
IBM Research Division. Hoque is a prominent leader in Hawaii’s
high tech industry and has served as chairman of the Hawaii
Technology Trade Association. He is currently on the MIT Education
Council and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization,
IEEE, ACM, and is a Certified Financial Analyst.
Ora Williamson,
Senior Vice President, Business Development –
Ora, an experienced and highly successful business development
professional, has spent her career developing key channel and
technology partner relationships that are critical to success
in the high-tech communications industry. Ora joined Concentris
Systems from Ascentry Technologies, a mesh networking company,
where she was senior vice president for Business Development
and Marketing from 2001 to 2004. A founding partner at Ascentry,
Williamson successfully built a strong base of business partners
for the company and developed productive relationships with
government organizations that resulted in many market opportunities
for Ascentry. Prior to her work in wireless, Ora was a known
leader in speech recognition technology. As a founding partner
of Conversay Corporation, from 1997 through 2001 helped the
founder build the company from a garage-based operation, to
a 230 employee enterprise, with offices across the US and Europe.
During her five years at Conversay Corporation, Williamson grew
the sales and business development division from one to 70 employees,
in addition to leading all market development efforts. Prior
to her time at Conversay, Ora led business development at a
variety of companies including IBM, where she served as the
company's speech technology evangelist. She traveled with Lou
Gerstner and other top-level executives to demonstrate and speak
about IBM's speech technology products. Williamson was also
responsible for IBM acquiring its first-ever consulting engagement
in Japan. Ora holds a BS in Computer Science from the University
of Maryland, with a minor in French. She holds one patent pending,
four invention disclosures, and two inventions published related
to speech recognition technology. She is based in Denver, CO.
